AET Transport and Mobility Forum
The AET Transport and Mobility Forum promotes active engagement of AET members and member-groups with each other and with other like-minded transport organisations through supporting and hosting a range of activities including online webinars, seminars and discussions on a wide range of transport and transport related topics of interest. We welcome new members and new ideas about transport and how we talk about transport.

Green Mobility in Oslo – From Zero to Hero

This webinar will explore how the City of Oslo transformed its transport system from car-oriented planning to a leading example of green urban mobility in Europe—an evolution often described as a journey from “zero to hero.” The session will present key policies, strategies, and measures implemented to develop cycling infrastructure, improve road safety, and promote active and climate-friendly transport solutions. It will also examine the challenges faced, the approaches used to overcome them, and the outcomes achieved. Participants will gain insights into how bold, people-focused planning and long-term commitment can accelerate the transition toward more sustainable, accessible, and resilient urban mobility systems.
This webinar will be hosted by James Odeck, member of the AET Transport and Mobility Forum. The webinar will include a presentation by Rune Gjøs and a moderated discussion lead by Barry Zondag.

Rune Gjøs City of Oslo Norway

Rune Gjøs is a civil engineer with a Master of Science in transport planning and over 30 years of experience in urban transport policy and planning. He has worked for the City of Oslo since 2013 and has served as Head of the Mobility Department in the Agency for Urban Environment since 2018. Rune has played a central role in shaping Oslo’s transition toward greener mobility, including leading the development of the city’s modern cycling strategy. Known for his long-standing work as Oslo’s bicycle director and mobility strategist, he has contributed to initiatives that have earned the city international recognition for sustainable, people-focused transport planning. |

Barry Zondag Significance the Netherlands |
Barry Zondag is Managing Director of Significance and holds a PhD in Civil Engineering from Delft University of Technology. He is an expert in transport modelling, policy analysis, and land-use and mobility interactions, with extensive experience across Europe and Asia. Barry has worked with leading organisations including RAND Europe and the Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency (PBL), and is the principal developer of the TIGRIS XL model. He is a member of the AET Planning for Sustainable Land Use and Transport Programme Committee (PLST) and has served on the board of the Association of European Transport. |

Vladimir Momcilovic is a Professor at the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Engineering, University of Belgrade, Vice-Dean for Research (2024–2025), AET Council member and Chair of the ETC Programme Committee on Global Trends. With 30 years of experience, he has contributed to more than 80 international and national projects, specialising in automated and autonomous mobility, e-mobility, commercial vehicle operations, vehicle legislation and driver-related regulatory frameworks. TMF webinars, dealing with always interesting topics, help us all get a more insightful perspective on transport and mobility issues and challenges, to better understand the circumstances and limitations, share views, approaches and results through a stimulating discussion. |

James Odeck (NO) is a professor of transport economics at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (Trondheim) and a senior research economist at the Norwegian Public Roads Administration (NPRA). He specializes in applied transport economics and efficiency & productivity measurements. His research in transportation covers impact assessment and benefits cost analyses, monetary valuation of impacts, ex-post studies and cost overruns, and elasticity of transport demand. Odeck has published widely in re-known transportation journals such as Transportation Research Part A, Transportation, Transport policy, and Transport Reviews. |

Dalia Zecchi (CH) is a professional with extensive experience in consultancy, asset management, and digital transformation within civil infrastructure and transportation projects. Based in Zürich, she currently works as a Project Manager for the Department of Mobility and Transport Planning at the Kanton St. Gallen. Prior to relocating to Switzerland, Dalia worked in Milan, Italy, as a consultant for Accenture and Jacobs, serving key clients in the national transportation infrastructure market. She joined the AET in 2020 and now serves on the “Young Researchers’ and Practitioners’ Forum” Committee, as well as a member of the Transport and Mobility Forum (TMF) and Ambassador for Switzerland. Over the years, Dalia has been actively involved in the European Transport Conference (ETC) as a speaker and chairwoman. Besides work, Dalia is the founder of WiMIT – Women in Mobility, Infrastructure, and Transport, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and connecting women working in these sectors. |
